Did you know that the CCTS can help Sharpen Your Science with our Project Panels? Contact the Research Commons: or 934-7442.

The Nascent Projects Panel (NPP) provides assistance via a multidisciplinary panel (expertise in study design, biostatistics, ethics, health disparities, outcomes, regulatory, grant writing, etc.).  Meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of the month at 4:00 p.m.  Panels Done Quickly (PDQs) are a more targeted, rapidly deployable version of the NPP. In contrast to the NPP, PDQs address specific phases of research, such as project development, implementation, interpretation and/or dissemination. Meetings are coordinated by the Research Commons and a member of the CCTS Executive Committee, with other expertise added based on scientific need. As with the NPP, there is an emphasis on multiple viewpoints and content-specific expertise, but from a smaller group of experts (usually two to four).  Immediate feedback is given through the Panel discussion and a written summary of the discussion points are provided to the presenters a short time later.
