This 8-hour class takes place Friday, October 21st from 7:30am - 3:30pm
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
•Understand the purpose, scope of, and terms used in the NFPA 70E 2015 Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
•Identify electrical hazards that may occur in the workplace
•Understand the effects of electric shock and exposure to arc flash and arc blast
•Understand what information is needed to perform an Arc Flash Risk Assessment and a Shock Risk Assessment. The purpose of which is to select the correct PPE and determine associated boundaries
•Understand what the necessary components are of an Energized Electrical Work Permit and the components of Method of Safe Procedure for Energized Work
•Identify the training and qualifications needed to perform energized work
•Be able to read, understand and incorporate Arc Flash Hazard Label information into an overall Risk Assessment based on extent of the calculated hazard (as shown on the label), condition of the equipment, and conditions under which the work is to be performed
•Understand the management and control responsibilities for qualified persons and their supervisors, for all work performed where electrical hazards exists
•Understand the ratings of, retesting requirements of and daily inspection procedures for PPE, electrical testing equipment and other safety equipment
•Understand some of the Safety-Related Maintenance requirements for different types of electrical and other hazardous equipment
The certificate awarded upon successful completion of this course will read: "....has successfully completed 2015 NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety, an 8-hour QEW course."

CANCELLATION POLICY: To receive a refund, you must provide 48 business-hours notice of cancellation. If you are tuition-covered, PLEASE NOTE your training funds can only pay for your tuition if you attend the entire class and receive your certificate. If you do not cancel within the required time or do not show up for or complete the course, you or your company (whoever registers you for the course) will be responsible for the full tuition.
