The Newport Sharkfest Swim will take place along the historic waterfront of Newport from the harbormaster’s dock at Perotti Park in front of the Newport Marriott Hotel. It will be an in-water start in waves of 75 to proceed past the docks on your left side and anchored sailboats on the right side of the swimming channel. The 1500 meter swim will be a straight shot down the harbor to finish on the beach at King Park in the shadow of the statue of Rochambeau. Post event festivities will take place in the park, including the awards ceremony and the appropriate post swim fare. Water temperature is expected to be in the mid 60’s. The event is limited to 400 participants, so don’t wait to register! More details can be found online at sharkfestswim.com.
Online registration will close at 11:55PM (EST) on Thursday 9/26. Race day registration will be available. Please read the ENTRANT NEWSLETTER for race day details.
