Founder, Made in His Image
Maura Byrne was born and raised in northern New Jersey, where she graduated from Seton Hall University. After college she worked for Varsity Catholic, a subdivision of FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students), where she served as a missionary to bring the love of the Gospel to student-athletes on college campuses, since she herself was a former Division I runner and soccer player. In 2011, however, Maura felt called by God to officially launch a ministry for women called Made in His Image (www.madeinhisimage.org). Through it, she is dedicated to educating women about their inherent dignity as daughters of God, created in His image and likeness and the love of God the Father. It is her desire to use her story, to foster hope and healing in the lives of all she encounters.
Nurse practitioner and Associate Professor of Nursing, Newman University
Amy Siple is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Newman University. In addition, she maintains an active practice as a Nurse Practitioner with Wichita Medical Associates. Amy is a well sought after speaker in the nursing and private community, and her gift of teaching led her to win the "Teacher of the Year" award for Newman University in 2011. Amy has been married to her husband Scott for 22 years. They have an 18-year-old son and a 13-year-old daughter. Amy and Scott credit the strength of their marriage today to their faith in Christ and to the commitments they made to each other and to God while they were dating.
