The 1st Annual NewCo LA Festival

November 19, 2014

The best way to experience and learn about the innovation economy isn't in a stuffy ballroom - it is up close and personal and in its native habitat. Experienced marketers and conference organizers Brian Monahan and John Battelle invite you to participate in a new type of business conference called NewCo, which we like to think of as a mix between a business conference and artist's open studio with the vibe of a music festival. Hundreds of the most innovative businesses in LA will open their doors to the public on November 19, 2014.

Please help us support some of Los Angeles's most exciting and dynamic companies.

John Battelle and Brian Monahan

Co-founders, NewCo

NewCo Platform

NewCo celebrates "business on a mission" through festivals, media and services. Our mission is to identify, celebrate, and connect the engines of positive change in our society. NewCo’s growing festival platform celebrates new kinds of businesses in all sectors of our global economy. Across 16+ diverse cities including Istanbul, San Francisco, and Mexico City, NewCo connects innovative businesses with tens of thousands of engaged festival goers. NewCo’s platform fosters trust, storytelling, and true connection between the people driving a new kind of global capitalism.

Launched in 2012 in San Francisco, NewCo’s festival products encourage participants to “Get out to get in.” Festivals have the focus of a business conference, the feel of a music festival, and the model of an artist open studio. The brainchild of six-time media and tech entrepreneur John Battelle, NewCo takes participants out of stodgy ballrooms and directly into the businesses changing the face of the modern working city. Through intimate, founder-led sessions, a NewCo festival creates lasting engagement and deep connections. In late 2015, NewCo launched a media platform focused on the people, companies, and stories behind the NewCo movement.
