Join the New York Vectorworks User Group's next meeting:
Date: Wednesday, April 17
Time: 6:15 p.m.
Location: TekServe, Theater, 119 W. 23rd Street, New York, NY
Presentation: *presentation rescheduled from March* Leo Malkin presents "Building a Template File Workshop"
This is a lesson on how to build a base file as starting point with classes, design layers, and sheet layers in correct page sizes with a title block pre inserted. Leo has always felt that he had to start from scratch too often and realized that his first hour was spent setting up the file. Recently, he has set up a file on the above-mentioned subject. He invites you to learn about what he has being researching for a while. He often hears others wondering how to go through this process, so no matter your field, come learn about this time saving process that will speed up your workflow in the long run.
Presenter: Leo Malkin is a light designer with a background with Vectorworks since 12.5 and habitually works in 3d. He has drafted whole Theaters, Event Halls, Sets, of course lighting, and more recently with help of Cris Dopher, a working Air Star Light Balloon. He has also trained others and passed on gained knowledge to various students and coworkers. Due to certain projects, he has had to learn ESP vision to pre-program lighting looks where time is limited on stage.
