Equip Yourself - What is BIM?
Ruby Siddiqui, Assoc. AIA, NOMA, of Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc., will define BIM and highlight the differences between “Little BIM” and “Big BIM.” The presentation will also explore what tools are available to create a BIM and what the advantages are of utilizing IFC technology in an Open BIM workflow.
Big BIM: Description and Case Study
Wes Gardner, Assoc. AIA, of Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc., will outline how organizations develop IFC-based standards to achieve streamlined workflows. Various file-sharing methods such as the BIM Server, Peer-to-Peer and Reference Model workflows are presented in conjunction with the roll of the BIM Manager. The presentation concludes with a case study proving the concept of BIM interoperability.
