New Student Orientation/ Technology Overview

A new student orientation/technology overview will be held on Saturday, March 15th from 9:00-11:30 a.m. in University Hall (UH) 306. Subjects covered include: key policies and procedures, academic issues, the career center, parking, the Anderson Academic Commons/library, ID cards, and more. During the technology overview portion you will become familiar with the web-based tools you will use to be successful at University College, including webCentral, MyWeb, PioneerNet, and eCollege.

Students may bring their electronic devices and receive assistance setting up the DU wireless network (Pioneer Net) and have other DU technology questions answered at the University Technology Services Computer Help Center immediately following the new student orientation/technology overview.  The UTS Computer Help Center is located in the Anderson Academic Commons and is open Saturday, March 15th from 9am-8pm.  To view the Helpdesk hours for other days, and the type of support they offer, please visit their website.

An online version of the new student orientation will also be offered on eCollege.  New students may complete the online new student orientation, including information covered in the technology overview, at their own pace on eCollege.  The online new student orientation can be accessed on eCollege in the Special Courses section beginning Monday, March 17th.

If you have any questions you can contact the student support center at ucolsupport@du.edu, uc-registration@du.edu, or by phone at (303) 871-2291.
