New Orleans Sisterhood Anniversary Retreat: A Queen By All Means

The "A Queen By All Means" (AQBAM) supreme sisterhood is celebrating our family and service for five years. Since Spring of 2010, AQBAM has successfully activated women around the mission to heal the mind, body and spirit in order to be of better quality in life and society. We invite women to New Orleans to celebrate our anniversary with us! We are looking forward to the local lovers to be on deck to join the sisters as well.

June 18, 2010 was the first sisterhood retreat organized by AQBAM's founder, Beautiful SeeAsia. It was successfully held in the breathtaking Appalachian Mountains of Maryland for teen-aged and mature, African American women. The weekend was filled with workshops, outings, awesome food and bonds that remain tight to date.

The history of the movement began in March of 2010 as a Facebook group. Beautiful took her experiences learned in different styles of sisterhood over her lifetime and organized an international platform for women of African descent soul searching on the world's most popular social media forum, Facebook. AQBAM's principles were bore through tough love balanced with respect. And therefore meaningful relationships were built as we all grew in the gatherings online and offline together.

A Queen By All Means is a spiritual, grassroots movement within African American culture. We thrive on creating educational events that focus on the social welfare of black women. We are a family of women from every religious institution without conflict and enjoy our growth as a global unit. AQBAM continues to make history as we establish a respectable and cultural power like no other and we are celebrating our five years of influence in New Orleans, June 25th - June 28, 2015!

General Information

General retreat information in terms of AQBAM's activities, style of lodging, transportation details, etc are emailed upon your interest of registration. ISpecific tinerary & Retreat Info: All formal retreat package information such as a detailed schedule, welcome letter and directions will be electronically sent out to consistently paid registrants within 10 days before the actual retreat arrival date of Thursday, June 25, 2015. Please be sure to put your correct email address in the registration application.

Lodging Arrangement Notation: During A Queen By All Means overnight retreats we attempt to stay out of corporate hotels unless it is necessary. Our retreats are special because of the personalization of the retreat’s organization and consistent exercise of community living and tolerance. It is also our duty to assure affordable, upscale, comfort at very reasonable rates. We do our best to stay in upscale private homes, condominiums or villas. We take a “Real World” approach with all retreats, providing our own meals & private arrangements. We have received raved reviews for the personable mature gatherings thus far without incident. Hotel options are available.

DEPOSIT OR FULL PAYMENT

Below you will be required to make a payment and redirected to our Paypal page for payment. You have the option to pay in full or pay the following payments and committed to a deposit schedule that will be emailed to you within 48 business hours of your first payment.

*Refund Policy Retreat deposits are nonrefundable. All payments including deposits are non-refundable. Full payment is non-refundable but transferrable or will be accepted as a donation unless extremely urgent matters at our discretion with proof provided. Your registration with a deposit is a reserved spot and we plan according to your received deposit for supplies, food, resort, etc. Your payment cannot be rolled over to another retreat we host.

GROUP PACKAGE (4 women): $500 deposit

SISTERHOOD PACKAGE (2 Women): $300 Deposit

SINGLE PACKAGE: $150 DEPOSIT

*Transportation is on a carpooling basis for travelers who opt to fly in and from ANY OTHER AIRPORT BESIDES THE DEFAULT HUB FOR THIS RETREAT WHICH IS THE FOLLOWING AIRPORT: Louis Armstong Airport (MSY) in New Orleans which is the preferred airport As this is a personable community sisterhood retreat. Drivers may request gas, rental payment and tolls from passengers and poolers. A Queen By All Means or the organizer is not responsible for participant's car rental options if they decide to fly to and from another airport in order to reach the the vacation site.

*All meals provided on the previous menu may not be covered in the retreat. It is based on food availability due to geographical restrictions, seasonal products, availability, activity time. Meals are subject to change and AQBAM and the organizer is not responsible to pay for meals outside of what is provided for retreat attendees.

*Activities presented may not be fulfilled due to time constraints, weather, attendee participation, host/hostess explanations, emergency situation with attendee(s), venue circumstances, condition of activity sites or unforeseeable matters that may restrict or make events impossible to take place on time or at all.
