New Beginnings for Women Presents Quarterly Breakfast and Learning Circle
Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (CDT)
You're invited to the Learning to Live Quarterly Breakfast and Learning Circle, presented by New Beginnings for Women of Houston, Inc.
These quarterly events are designed to empower women with tools and principles necessary to be successful in the home, career, community, and in society as a whole.
Keynote speaker is Liz Henshaw, Sr. VP, Strategy and Program at Stewart Title Guaranty Company. Liz is a 14 year breast cancer survivor and has lived in the community of Inwood for 19 years. She will speak from the topic, "Overcoming Workplace Challenges." Whether you are the fulltime manager of your home and family, or an employee at a major corporation, this event was designed especially for you. You will also hear from others who have triumphed over workplace challenges.
THE LEARNING CIRCLE
The Title, Learning to Live Quarterly Breakfast and Learning Circle, was inspired by the book, Learning to Live, by Shamarion Whitaker. If you have a copy, bring it to the beakfast. Shamarion will share a few principles from pages 152-165.
We are strong supporters of Breast Cancer Awareness. Invite your sisters and friends who are survivors. We will recognize survivors and give away a cash grant to a survivor who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Grant will help pay for gas, parking and other appointment related expenses.
GENTLY USED HANDBAGS AND SCARVES
We would love to have your gently used handbags and scarves. Please bring them. They will be collected and donated to our local Dress For Success Houston affiliate.
