Kick off the new year by joining the first Networking with A Purpose event of 2014!  Networking with a Purpoase is a cross-company collaboration event among Cisco, Citrix, eBay, EMC,  Ericsson, VMWare and interested participants, using the IEEE model of "Birds of A Feather" discussion topics!

Discussion Topics:

  • Personally Experiencing Resistance and Turning It Into A Positive - book: "Byond A Wall of Resistance"
  • Becoming Sponsorable - Differences between a mentor and sponsor and which would impact your career trajectory?
  • How to Say "No" Without Saying "No"?
  • "Up-Teching" Your Skills To Address The Gap for Technical Women (Not just looking for college grads).
  • Men Advocating for Real Change
  • Speaking Up Without Fear
  • Building Trust
  • Speed Coaching - 5 minute mini-sessions with an executive coach  or executive recruiter to answer a question or provide a new perspective.

This event provides a low-stress way to connect and engage with fellow professionals who share your interest in specific topics, in small, facilitated roundtable discussions.

Networking with a Purpose is a series of Birds of a Feather events organized and hosted by professional women from Cisco, EMC, Ericsson, eBay, Symantec, VMWare, Oracle, Intel, and Citrix.  These events are an opportunity to engage and connect with other women sharing your passion for a topic, in the format of facilitated roundtable discussions in small groups. We will be offering sessions on a variety of topics, such as managing your career, personal brand, work/life balance, and evolving your technical role.
