So what's ALL the buzz about?  Smiles For Cause Foundation

What's the Smile For Cause Foundation do for our local families? We provide private and group benefit dinner shoots to help local families, orphans, and disabled neighbors that are going thru an unexpected financial hardship due to a health problems, injury, or a no fault loss of employment  related to these unfortunate scenarios. The profits from these shoots go to our foundation to help these families and our mission to continue help our friends and families.

Example Motor Vehicle Accident:

We are contacted about the family or individual.  It’s expressed to my foundation that due to the injuries of the potential recipient of charitable donation is experiencing not only the emotional impact related to the unfortunate accident they are also experiencing financial hardship due to the accident.

After the being contacted we ask for their, and/or family members contact information. During the reach out call I express my sincere sympathy to the family or individual. They share information regarding the accident and how it has impacted their financial situation. After they share their fears and concerns related to their situation, I share the mission of SMILES FOR CAUSE.

I express how we can help them by providing no cost hair styling, airbrush make-up, and a professional photo session for their immediate family members.  After the photo session, and photo editing, we share the digital photo album with the family and/or individual.  They select their favorite photo and then I get to work with the help of others to invite friends, family, local businesses to participate in a benefit dinner and group photo shoot. Models contracted with TUFF MODEL INC. show in themed wardrobe such as Princess Costume to interact with the children that attend and provide story time as well as fun face painting. Networking business partners are contacted to join in offering their services and/or a monitory donation.  During the SMILES FOR CAUSE event we express to those involved before coming to the event that they can join in the day’s events by experiencing group discounted rates for hair styling, make up services, and professional photo provided by our amazing networking photographers. After the individual photo sessions we then take an amazing group photo so the recipient(s) of charitable contribution have a photo to remember the event and those that shared in efforts to help! In the invitation it is expressed that can goods, gas cards, clothing, etc, and the profits of the photo sessions will be presented to the charitable recipient in the form of house hold related payments, car payments, utility payments, hospital & prescription cost payments, etc.

I know that this would have been near to my heart because I myself went thru a traumatic motor vehicle accident when I was 8 ½ months pregnant. My now ten year old daughter and I were on our way to her school in the morning.  After coming around a sharp bend an oncoming vehicle struck us head on. I heard the scared, and fearful voice of my daughter, Jasmine yell “MOMMY!” As I looked at my precious baby I seen her eye lid was now hanging on her cheek. She had glass and blood all over her little coat and face. The fear in her eyes, I cannot express how helpless I felt immediately! I then told her to just stay calm and everything would be fine. I then shared a prayer of comfort with my daughter. After our prayer my sweet little princess looked at me and stated with fear and concern in her voice, “Mommy are you, O.K? You are bleeding!” I was embracing her in my arms to comfort her and noticed blood running from my head onto her.  I told my sweet baby I was fine and probably just needed a band aid, even though my vision was starting to blur. As my mind was running thru scary thoughts and concerns for Jasmine as well as thoughts of unborn daughter in my womb started to fill my head; I was 8 ½ months pregnant others that seen the accident began to rush to help my daughter and myself…my main concern was for my children.  I wanted to ride with my daughter in the ambulance and started to exit my mangled vehicle however due to my injuries I fell.  My daughter and I had to take separate ambulances to our local hospital.  During my transport all I could think of was, are my children going to be o.k. and how where they going to help my babies? I will share with you that due to my memories of that accident my eyes are now filled with tears, so I’m going to stop here with that memory. And share that we are all now fine after months of hospital and doctor appointments. And that due to others helping us in the days that followed…their love and kind efforts spoke to my heart.

My non-profit Smile for Cause has transpired from that event and I’m looking forward to offering my helping hand as best I can, and I’m excited meet those that want to reach out people the way others touch my heart by offering a helping hand to my children and myself.
