Event Details

The Netherland - Indian Trade and Partnership Conference 2013 is an initiative of Cedar Event Ltd, solely to promote trade and partnership relationship between The Netherlands and India.

With more than 400 years of trade between both countries, and still going strong, both  countries have benefitted from the mutual trade relationship among each other. According to recent report (http://www.newkerala.com/topstory-fullnews-90755.html ), New Delhi, Feb 10: Union Minister of Commerce and Industry of India have stated that the bilateral trade between India and Netherlands has increased from US 3.9 billion dollars in 2006-07 to US 7.2 billion dollars in 2007-08, with continuous annual increase in bilateral trade with more than 10%. This trade will only see constant growth as the world population and consumption continue to increase, and the world economy turning to Asia. The expected growth by 2013 is US 12 billion dollars. This conference is poised towards re-enforcing this trade relationship.

An indirect but very telling indication of the growing Dutch business interest in India, both as the largest market after China and as an investment destination of choice, comes from the steadily increasing number of Dutch university students who are visiting India for 3-4 months at a time to carry out market surveys on behalf of Dutch firms. Just in the latter half of this year, three such groups, of around 20 each, have gone on such missions, one sponsored by the University of Amsterdam and Amsterdam Free University, one by the University of Tilburg, and another by the University of Groningen.

The conference will serve as a platform where business people will meet each other also it will focus on match making and business development. The following sectors will be of main focus;

Chemical, Telecom, Furniture, Textile, Healthcare, Information Technology, Agriculture & Livestock, Electronics, Machinery, Transportation, Banking (for candidates interested in loan and financial instrument), Life science, Water, Miscellaneous. These are the areas that we have interested partners that have registered. Note, because matchmaking and business development is important to this conference, we have decided not to limit attendance to any particular sector. There are also sections for individuals and free lancers who are looking for companies they will represent.
