Individuals attending this program MUST have completed the online NRP exam prior to arriving for the skills check-off and simulation. If you are WakeMed employee, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain an exam license key. If you are NOT a WakeMed employee, please copy and paste the link below into a web browser to purchase & obtain an exam license key to obtain an exam license key.
PLEASE ALLOW 1-2 BUSINESS DAYS FOR EXAM PROCESSING.
The class will begin with a skills practice and check-off followed by a facilitated simulation experience. At the completion of the simulation, the team will be led through a debrief on the simulation experience itself.
For WakeMed employees, you can obtain a loaner textbook from the Center for Innovative Learning or Nursing Education, M-F 8a-430p (please bring a $60.00 check made out to WakeMed with you). For both non-WakeMed employees and those individuals interested in purchasing a textbook, please click here to obtain textbook purchasing information. A textbook is not included in the registration fee.
YOU MUST BRING THE CERTIFICATE TO CLASS or YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO STAY.
Additional course information, directions, and a schedule will be sent via your enrollment confirmation email to the address listed on your registration application. If you need additional information, please give us a call at 919-350-1700 x10039.
All certification cards are processed by the local or national training center within 15 business days from the date the course is completed. The certification cards are mailed directly to the provider. Please allow 20 business days for the cards to arrive to the address provided at the time of registration. NO CERTIFICATION CARDS will be provided on the day of the course.
- Read the book first. There are many changes for this year and you will not be successful if you do not.
- Once you log into the test, you have 14 days to complete it. You can work at your own pace. However, do not stop in the middle of a module or it will fail you.
- You can work on the modules in any order EXCEPT, DO NOT complete Lesson 9 until very last otherwise it will complete you too early.
- Do all 9 modules.
- If you fail any module more than once, the test is over and you will have to pay again to take it (Employees are provided only one license key).
- If it is over 30 days, you will have to retake the test prior to coming to class (Employees are provided only one license key).
A full refund is provided to those that cancel their registraton within 7 days of the course start date. A full refund will only be processed if the participant returns any course materials to the course sponsor. The refund will be processed onto the original method of payment. If the participant paid by check, a check will be sent to the mailing address listed on the registration form.
A partial refund will be provided to those that cancel their registration between 1-7 days of the course start date. A partial refund is 50% of the total cost of the course registration category the participant paid. The refund will be processed onto the original method of payment. If the participant paid by check, a check will be sent to the mailing address listed on the registration form.
NO refund will be provided to those that cancel their registration between 0-1 days of the course start date. A no-show is considered any individual that cancels 24 hours prior to the course start or fails to show-up to class without notifying the Center for Innovative Learning.

WakeMed's Center for Innovative Learning is a 3,800 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility, located on the WakeMed Raleigh Campus.
The Center for Innovative Learning provides a unique training environment for health care providers throughout the region, including those affiliates with Wake AHEC, The Capital Regional Advisory Committee (CapRAC), Wake Technical Community College and the numerous hospitals that comprise the Southern Atlantic Healthcare Alliance (SAHA).
Future expansion plans include the addition of several thousand square feet of clinical space.
