Event Details

Pier 70, at the edge of the Dogpatch neighborhood in what was once Potrero Point, was one of the first major industrial centers on the West Coast and remains today the longest operating civilian shipyard on this side of the Pacific.Currently, the Port of San Francisco is working with the private development community to re-establish Pier 70 as a major jobs center that includes a new era of industry and making. Forest City has conceptual plans for the Waterfront Site portion of Pier 70 that include creating an innovation zone that mixes knowledge economy office companies with a substantial component of small scale local producers, arts and culture, retail and a market hall.

Lead by Kate Sofis, Executive Director of SFMade and Jack Sylvan of Forest City
