Event Details

The online ticket sales for this concert will end at 3pm on Monday, Feb 11, 2013. THIS EVENT IS NOT SOLD OUT.  Tickets will be at available at the school's box office 1 hour before the concert.

Contemporaneous, known for playing “with spirit and precision” (Gapplegate Classical), brings to life some of some of the world’s most jaw-dropping and unabashedly cool pieces of music in its show DON’T EVEN. The Neighborhood Classics concert series presents this concert at P.S. 142, (100 Attorney Street) on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. James Matheson, composer and Neighborhood Classics artistic director at P.S. 142, will host this 70-minute, family-friendly performance. All ticket sales will benefit the efforts of this very deserving host school.

DON’T EVEN features music that not only describes the world in which we live, but does so confidently, with boldness and attitude, taking no prisoners. With a lineup like this, this is certain to be a life-changing event. Don’t even think about missing this one.

Neighborhood Classics

Neighborhood Classics was founded by pianist Simone Dinnerstein in 2009 in an effort to build relationships at the local level between neighborhoods and musicians. These one-hour, family-friendly performances are hosted by Simone and feature musicians she has admired and collaborated with during her career. The concerts are open to the public and raise funds to benefit the schools’ students. Musicians performing donate their performances to the program, and the concerts are organized and administered by PTA volunteers and faculty members
