NE Silverlight Guild - April 18, 2011 @ 20 Church St Hartford
Monday, April 18, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (EDT)
Microsoft SharePoint has become extremely popular as a collaboration and web publishing platform which can be extended and customized in many ways by .NET developers. Silverlight is a natural complement to SharePoint, in that it allows for a much richer user experience and also extends the SharePoint “sandbox” to allow many capabilities that would not otherwise be possible in hosted environments. The session will begin with a quick overview of SharePoint 2010, followed by a deep dive showing how to package Silverlight applications for installation on SharePoint, how to expose Silverlight applications in various ways within SharePoint, and how to access SharePoint content and services from Silverlight
Bob German is a Technology Architect at the Microsoft Technology Center in Boston, MA. Bob specializes in web sites, portals and collaboration, including Microsoft SharePoint and related technologies. Bob spoke on SharePoint and Silverlight at Microsoft TechEd North America 2010, the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2009, SPTechCon 2009 and other venues.
