Chicago Illinois Section Meeting

NCSLI Chicago Section 1312 will hold a meeting on May 23, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM (CT). The meeting will be hosted by the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. This section meeting is open to all NCSLI members and non-members at no cost. This meeting will cover multiple aspects of metrology education - from K-12 students, universities, metrology techncians, and your non-metrology co-workers. This meeting will have something for everybody, including those who don't nomrally attend NCSLI events. The line-up includes two speakers who won best paper awards at the 2012 NCSLI annual conference, and will include a live demonstration of the "laser-interferometer-in-a-pizza-box" from Dr. Hy Tran (Sandia National Lab). We will also have a chance to tour some of the labs at NIU.

From the East, take I-88 west and exit Annie Glidden Road. Continue north on Annie Glidden Road for 2.25 miles and turn right on Lucinda Avenue. Travel 3/4 mile and turn left onKishwaukee Drive. Enter the last parking lot on the right and obtain a parking ticket from attendant. From the Northwest, take I-39 south and exit east on I-88. Exit Annie Glidden Road and continue north on Annie Glidden Road for 2.25 miles and turn right on Lucinda Avenue. Travel 3/4 mile and turn left of Kishwaukee Drive. Enter the last parking lot on the right and obtain a parking ticket from attendant.
Parking will be available in the lot behind the Engineering Building, located off of Kishwaukee Drive. You will need to obtain a parking ticket when you arrive and an attendant will be in the lot to give them out.
