3rd Annual Shamrock Supper!
- Community & Culture
- Shilo Inn, Newport OR
The Celtic Heritage Alliance welcomes you to an evening celebrating the history and mystique of the most noble of spirits - a Scotch Whisky Education & Tasting.
Held at the scenic Stone Crest Cellar B&B, this stunning setting on the Pacific Ocean sets the tone for a night of savoring five fine Scottish whisky selections led by connoisseur Tom McVey.
Heavy hors d' oeuvres will be served and guests who do not wish to partake in the sampling portion of the evening may enjoy the cash bar with other options if desired.
This event is a benefit for the Newport Celtic Festival & Highland Games - a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization.
The Celtic Heritage Alliance is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation fostering awareness and education of Celtic culture on the Oregon Coast.
While nearly one in five Oregonians claim Celtic ancestry, many have lost touch with their roots. Part of the organization’s mission is to connect people with their heritage through music, dance, athletics and other activities.
In its first year, the group has staged the Celtic Festival & Highland Games in June, held an Irish Céilí community dance for the Celtic New Year in October, a Robert Burns Supper in January and an Irish house concert for St. Patrick’s Day.
