Event Details

The cloth diaper industry is on fire. Not literally of course, but the industry’s rapid growth as an alternative diapering option that is kind on the wallet and the environment, is remarkable. In fact sales of these disposable diaper-alternatives in recent years have grown by over 30 percent, as more and more Americans are choosing to use cloth diapers.

To help continue to raise awareness of cloth diapering, several people involved in the movement, including Stinky Butts Co-op, Cover Your Bum Cloth Diaper Bank, KyRo Bugz Diapers and more, have joined forces with the nonprofit Real Diaper Association for the third annual international event taking place on Saturday, April 20th called, “The Great Cloth Diaper Change.” (www.GreatClothDiaperChange.com).

This is the 1st time GCDC will be coming to Springfield, MO and We have teamed up with The Greater Springfield Farmers' Market in celebration of Earth Day to transform this event into a Natural Parenting Expo. We will be highlight several Natural Parenting options. A few of which include, Baby Wearing, Doula's, Breastfeeding, and Processing your own baby food! Swag Bags, Demos, Giveaways, Vendors, and other various activities will take place.

This event is not limited to just cloth diaper families. It is intended for all who wish to learn more about providing a more natural way of living for you and your children.
Please register for either General Admission (you plan on attending, but NOT participating in the GCDC) or as a GCDC Participant. GCDC Participants will recieve an email on April 1st to verify information. If you would like to participate in the GCDC but do not currently own any cloth diapers, thier will be some availabe for your use at the event.

While it is free to attend this event, donations of $1.00+ or a Cloth Dipaer in good used condition or better to the RDA or Cover Your Bum cloth diaper bank are greatly appreshiated. Pay It Forward! :)
