Description

This two-hour class, designed for adults who are seeking to explore the world of native plant seed collection, will provide an introduction to the methods used in the collection of native plant seeds. The class will examine how to identify various seeds, discuss times to harvest, as well as cleaning and storage.

Led by our staff growers, attendees will have the opportunity to explore seed collection methods and ethics in the field at Duke Farms. Each participant will leave class with pre-packaged native plant seeds, and a potted plant from the property to take home and sow.
