National Trails Day
Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM
Hall Ranch is a much loved park in north Boulder but it’s being loved to death. Years of foot, bike and hoof traffic combined with the harsh Colorado weather and highly erodible soils have left trail in desperate need of TLC, and we are partnering with the Boulder Mountainbike Alliance to give it some. We will be using hand tools to re-route especially over-used sections of trail while closing down the old trail. The goal is to create a more sustainable trail that will stand up to use and weather. A light breakfast will be provided. After the trail work is done, volunteers will celebrate with a late lunch.
This project will run from 8:30am-1pm. Minimum age is 12 with adult supervision. This volunteer project may not be used for court ordered community service hours. For more information contact Fletcher Jacobs at 303-678-6344 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
