Celebrate National Public Lands Day as a volunteer at Lake Conestee Nature Park on Saturday, September 28 from 9:00am - 1:00pm. REI, Lake Conestee Nature Park, Greenville County Rec, and the Greater Greenville Parks Foundation are working together to make this Park Heroes volunteer event one to remember. REI will be on hand with lunch, refreshments, and give-a-ways. Each volunteer will receive a Park Hero t-shirt and an REI Volunteer t-shirt while supplies last. Volunteers will work on trail rehabilitation, installation of bog-bridges, and landscaping around Learning Stations on the Heron Trail and Raccoon Run trail. There will be a variety of tasks for all kinds of volunteers from shovel and rake work, to trash picking, to lopping limbs and weed wacking, to installing and connection the bog-bridges. Volunteers should be 12 years old or older and will need to sign liability waivers. Tools will be provided.

What to Bring: Please bring work gloves, closed toed shoes, bug spray, sunscreen, and be prepared to get dirty.
Where to Meet: We will meet at the Maulding Road entrance to Lake Conestee Nature Park which is in Conestee Park (former Greenville Braves Stadium area). When you enter the park, go to the back right corner and look for our pop-up tents.
