Event Details

Join nationally known writers autographing and selling their books at the Club’s 36th annual Book Fair & Authors' Night, in partnership with Politics & Prose, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013. Tickets are $5 for NPC and Politics & Prose members; $10 public. Tickets will be sold online and at the door.

 

The evening will combine a night of literary fun with a fundraiser that helps make possible cutting-edge journalism training at the National Press Club Journalism Institute which provides college scholarships, training for journalists and awards for excellence in journalism.

 

This is a ticketed event. All attendees must have a ticket. This event is a fundraiser for the NPC Journalism Institute. No outside books or memorabilia permitted. All sales are final; no refunds will be issued.

The mission of the non-profit National Press Club Journalism Institute is to train communications professionals in a changing media environment, provide scholarships to the next generation of journalists, recognize excellence in journalism, house the records of the history of journalism in the nation’s capital and promote a free press, the cornerstone of a free society.

Located in the Eric Friedheim Library of the prestigious National Press Club in downtown Washington, D.C., the Institute is the premier research, reference and education venue for journalists, historians, academics and students in the nation’s capital.
