Event Details

Through a series of case studies highlighting SFMade member companies, we will illustrate what kinds of spaces are available for light industrial production, where they are, and what you need to do to secure them. Whether you are a new company, in the process of expanding, or looking for a temporary pop-up location, this workshop will help you navigate your options and point you in the right direction.

We will cover:

  • Which San Francisco neighborhoods are zoned for light industrial production and specific allowable uses

  • Enterprise Zone tax credits and incentives

  • Lease negotiations

  • Permits and how to work with the City

  • Manufacturing clusters and hubs

  • Creative uses of space, including co-locating with compatible companies

  • How to engage with SFMade’s Places to Make Program
