National Green Ribbon Schools Award Conference in Massachusetts

Sponsored by the Indoor Air Quality in Schools Taskforce*,

facilitated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health

 This year, Massachusetts will participate in the U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Schools program!

  • Learn about the comprehensive approach we are using in Massachusetts to create "healthy and green" schools.
  • Meet experts who can mentor your school staff and students to create healthy and sustainable learning environments.
  • Hear how your school can apply.
  • Gather valuable and useful resources

 

 

Space limited. You must attend as a team!

 Register early with a 2-3 person team from your school that is excited to learn more about this comprehensive approach.

  2. Improve health and wellness of students and staff: Jessica Hing, EPA Region One Clean, Green, and Healthy Schools Coordinator
  3. Effective environmental and sustainable education: Eric Magers, Spanish Teacher & Green Team Advisor at Manchester Essex Regional High School

 

10:45- 11:45:Break-out Sessions on 3 pillars: meet with resource people to learn more about how to develop and/or document your best practices in the key pillars of the Green Ribbon Schools program.

 

12:00- 12:30 (Adjourn- lunch on your own): Tour the EPA Lab "EPA’s New England Regional Laboratory a state-of-the-art ‘green’ facility that houses the design, collection and analysis of environment
