Description

Are you interested in a career in teaching?

The National Forest Teaching School works with the following HEI providers:

The University of Derby; The University of Birmingham; Birmingham City University and the John Taylor SCITT.

Our alliance of schools reaches across the East and West Midlands, and we offer main placements in both primary, and a large range of secondary subjects.

To apply, you must have a good honours degree, GCSE Maths, English at Grade C or above (plus Science for Primary applicants), and some experience of working in a school.

We are very proud of our programme and have received excellent feedback from our 2013/14 trainees, who have all successfully secured employment as teachers both in our alliance and beyond.

We look forward to meeting more prospective trainee teachers at our information events. The events will give you an opportunity to meet with our Director of Teaching School to discuss the programme in detail and ask any questions that you may have.

Please be advised that this is one information event, which will be duplicated across all sessions, and not a series of events.

For any further queries regarding the events, please email nfts@jths.co.uk

Organised by

The John Taylor SCITT is pleased to offer an assortment of face to face and remote events across both our primary and secondary programmes in order that you have an opportunity to find out about how our programmes work and to ask any questions you may have regarding how to get into teaching with us.

Our friendly programme leaders and Coordinator will be on hand to help guide you through the initial stages of considering teaching and the application process.

We very much look forward to meeting you at an upcoming event.
