The Open Book Foundation is federally Tax-exempt 501c3 organization that purchases and donates FREE books to Title I elementary schools and community organizations that support low-income neighborhoods. Join us on January 23rd 2014 for the first National Reading Day of the new year and for every hour a volunteer donates to reading with a child, we will donate a new book to a participating school.

The Open Book Foundation
The Open Book Foundation was created to serve as a bridge between Title I elementary schools and literacy efficiency. We complete this mission by purchasing and donating books to Title I elementary schools across the country. In our short existence launching in 2012, our Charlotte, NC based 501c3 not-for-profit organization has been fortunate to purchase and donate over 17,000 new books to 850 classrooms across the country. In doing so we strive to instill, and emphasize the importance of investing into the future leaders of our society. We believe teaching our youth has to be a combined effort in and out of school, so we are focusing on creating programs and opportunities that allow parents, teachers, administrators, and our youth to be engaged, and informed.
