The opportunities for faith-based organizations to receive funding for social and community development programs will be explored through speakers from Faith based partnership offices in the US Federal government as well as with speakers from the development assistance community.

Congresswoman Barbara Lee, Congresswoman Yvette Clarke and other Caribbean American elected officials will bring their message regarding work underway in the areas of International Trade, Small Business, the Affordable Health Care Act and Immigration Reform.  The anticipated outcome of the participatory forum will be a commitment by interested organizations to partner under a shared vision to execute action and advocacy.

The Caribbean Growth Forum (CGF) is a joint initiative by the Compete Caribbean Program, the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, and the Caribbean Development Bank. It is supported by the Canadian International Development Agency, the United Kingdom's Department for International Development, CARICOM Secretariat, and the University of the West Indies. Senior Executives from the IDB will report on the ACCESS AMERICAS.  Updates will be provided on funding opportunities for diaspora investment in the Caribbean region.

JUNE 27 - Caribbean American Community Leaders Briefing 
                    Getting Ready for Census 2020
                     @ US Census Department
                     9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Aimed at community leaders  preparing to do voter or citizen registration drives.  High level officials of the US CENSUS Department, will provide information on plans for Census 2020 already underway.  Space is Limited.    
Participants will learn how to access census data such as Caribbean American demographic information.

JUNE 27     -  US Oceans & Climate Change Policy: 

                       A Briefing on America's Caribbean Agenda

                        @ US State Department 

                         2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Aimed at NGO leaders and academics and diplomats with an interest in Caribbean environmental challenges and climate change and oceans policy in particular.  Officials of the US State Department, will provide information on Oceans Summit held by Secretary Kerry; and outlines National Climate Assessment programming for the South East and Caribbean Region (including Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands). Space is Limited.

JUNE 27     -  Youth Leadership Forum 

                        @ Inter-American Development Bank

Aimed at young professionals or graduate students interested in careers in international development, and/or public policy.  Updates on development programs for youth in the Caribbean will be provided.

 ICS is the architect and campaign leader for the commemoration of JUNE as National Caribbean American Heritage Month. ICS is also Executive Producers of the celebrated Caribbean American Heritage Awards and INVEST CARIBBEAN Annual Leadership Dialogue.
