Learn about advancements in the field of stem cell research including a corneal resurfacing procedure that has shown great promise in helping those with chemical burns to the eye, and a new procedure that can engineer a trachea from scratch using a scaffold, a surface on which cells can grow.

Marie Csete, M.D., Ph.D., is Director of AABB Center for Cellular Therapies.  AABB (formerly American Association of Blood Banks) is the premier organization for setting standards, accrediting facilities and delivering education for cellular therapy professionals.  The Center for Cellular Therapies fosters patient safety and responsible innovation in the cellular therapy and regenerative medicine field.
