The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Mecca Chpt. presents My Sister's Keeper, an Economic Empowerment workshop geared towards inciting financial literacy and growth amongst women. The theme for this years workshop is "Free Your Mind and the Rest will Follow." The event will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Emory University Goizueta Business School.
 
The topics are as follows:
  • Removing the mental limitations as it pertains to amassing wealth; tips on how growth your personal net worth and portfolio.  (Regina Page, CPA)
  • Mind altering strategies in the area of professional development; tips on how to build your business or grow your career and generate income through multiple streams.  (Loretta Walker, Former CHRO Turner Broadcasting)
  • Dating for Dollars, a discussion on the impact on relationships particularly in situations when women find themselves financially supporting her significant other; tips on how to build your self worth and protect your assets.  (Dr. Alduan Tartt, Clinical Psychologist, Speaker, Media Personality and Author)
  • Panel Q&A session with featured speakers and other esteemed guests

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Incorporated---MECCA Chapter is a 501(c)(3) non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to empowering minority women and girls in the areas of education, health, economic development, and public policy, thereby, allowing them to become a positive and meaningful force in their communities for current and future generations. MECCA accomplishes this through educational mentoring, awarding college scholarships, coordinating financial literacy training, identifying, and supporting health concerns. MECCA also works to establish and develop alliances with elected officials and community leaders providing forums and disseminating information on meaningful political issues.  http://nc100bwmeccaga.org/
