Event Details

Join us for a foggy freaky summer warehouse party..
Maxmillion Dunbar (label head of Future Times & half of Beautiful Swimmers) is coming up from DC for a 3-hour marathon live/DJ hybrid set of blissful, infectious dance vibes with major kick drum. Live performances from legendary & iconoclastic Chicago producer Jamal Moss AKA Hieroglyphic Being, who's been making crazy acid-tinged house since he was a teen in '89, SFV Acid - analog sickness from Los Angeles, and Lori Napoleon AKA Antenes
playing aquatic electro deepness on her handbuilt modular synth.
Like last party we have Desolation Sounds (James Gerard) bringing his next level handbuilt 'proper' soundsystem all the way from Boston- two gigantic pyramids with big subs & tweeters for a taste of how it should be to feel music in your body. As always there will be immersive fog, lights & projections, cheap drinks & raw energy... theres AC at the spot but lets hope it goes out.. (also surprise visuals boost at 1 am sharp. hint: make it rain!)

"Jamal Moss, aka Hieroglyphic Being, a protege of acid master Adonis and working out of Chicago has been making outre house meltdowns since the late 80s. His mind-bending excursions into deep space have pushed house far beyond its too-frequent 303 squelch/gear fetish MO. Under various aliases and collaborations, Moss has plumbed the depths of the cosmic, ecstatic and transcendental, shying away from the spotlight in favor of a life submerged in a constant swirl of psychedelic expression. Beyond his own tracks, he tirelessly releases music by like-minded peers on his Mathematics label, with a roster that includes Steve Poindexter, John Heckle, Ministry, Marcello Napoletano and many more. " - from the Ital interview of HB on 20JFG linked below. Jamal Moss is such an inspiration and I'm extremely excited to have to him play! Rumor has it he writes his live sets day of.. we'll see what he comes up with

Solo project of Andrew Field Pickering, label head of Future Times, and half of renowned DJ group Beautiful Swimmers. I feel like every time Im out lately and go I LOVE THIS SONG WHAT IS IT AGAIN, its Max D. His cocktail of slightly hip hop/afro, blissed out & funky, sexy, casual vibes - infused with Serious house percussion - always hits the spot. He has sick records on Ramp, L.I.E.S. & Future Times, and look out for an upcoming LP on RVNG. Max is doing an epic extended DJ/live set combo til the end of the night, get ready for serious grooves....

    ---SFV ACID---
'San Fernando Valley Acid' is the grimy, sleazy vibe of LA transplant Zane Reynolds, irreverent producer using analog gear to make weird & gritty house/disco/acid thats perfectly off. He has records out on 100% Silk, and a LP of tracks he literally made in high school coming out on Post Present Medium (label of the guy from No Age).

Killer DJ & expert of all things dark & mechanical, playing her first live set on the handbuilt modular synth she recently completed which was featured in the upcoming documentary "I Dream of Wires." She's DJed with Cybernetic Broadcasting System in Rotterdam, and created some of her tracks during an inspirational journey to Submerge Headquarters in Detroit this summer. You also might remember her badass DJ sets at the first ever Mutual Dreaming at Shea Stadium, and at the Halloween party last October with Traxx & Vidrio. She's one of my favorite DJs ever and the fact that shes pretty much unknown blows my mind..
Check out her mixes at - http://soundcloud.com/antenes

James Gerard is the man responsible for the next level sound system that will be used this evening. He's a neuroscientist, world champion of speedwalking (not kidding), and a serious head/ great DJ. He used to throw raves in his native Vancouver and now lives in Boston where he hand assembled this 10 piece analog system from high quality Crest, Crown & Rane parts. He was inspired to build his own system by going to David Mancuso's Loft & Dope Jams parties, and he brings it all the way from boston just for Mutual Dreaming. Its really an honor to have him here. He's been DJing Chicago and Detroit house, disco and boogie for 15 years and has had Lovefingers, Juan Atkins, Hunee, Dan Bell, Eddie C, Beautiful Swimmers and other guests at his parties in Boston.

    $10 before 11:30. $12 after, Cheap bar.
