Chelsea College of Art - The Banqueting Hall


MUSLAB 2016 LONDON presents a LISTENING SESSION & CONCERT with 8.0 sound system and audiovisual projections.

The MUSLAB Listening Session presents the selected artworks resulted from the MUSLAB Open Call. This year edition MUSLAB has received more than 370 pieces by artists from the UK, France, the US, and Thailand, among other 40 countries more. The selection shows more than 10 artworks of 15 minutes maximum of an international selection. Artists such as Sylvia Pengilly, Damian  Lintell-Smith, Omar Peracha, Kyle Stewart, Edward Charles Wright, Aaron Cassidy, Oli Carman, Steven Tunnicliffe, Ilia Rogatchevski, Alex Ives, Rob Demianiuk, Jeevan Rai Elie, or Gregory Adam Bonser.

The MUSLAB Concert will feature the live performance by artists: 
- David Toop.
- Strange Umbrellas: Steve Beresford & Blanca Regina.

David Toop (born 5 May 1949) is an English musician and author, and professor and chair of audio culture and improvisation at the London College of Communication. He was notably a member of The Flying Lizards. He was a prominent contributor to the British magazine The Face. He is a regular contributor to The Wire, a British music magazine.

Blanca Regina and Steve Beresford have been working together curating events and performing since 2011. In 2013, they created Strange Umbrellas - a platform for music, film and art at various venues in London. In 2015 they created Unpredictable Series, a series about Free Improvisation, which featured films, exhibitions, performances, talks, publications, and workshops.
