Join the Music City Vectorworks User Group's next meeting:
Date: Tuesday, September 24
Time: 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Location: Nashville Children's Theatre, 25 Middleton Street, Nashville, TN
**Meeting place has changed from normal location. (It is best to enter through the back [stage] door).
Topic: This meeting will begin a work through and exploration of the concepts and tutorials in the Vectorworks publication "Entertainment Design: Scenery, Lighting, and Sound" by Kevin Lee Allen. Mr. Allen is an award-winning designer working in theatre, film, television, museums & exhibits, etc. He is an active member of both the main and theatre Vectorworks mail lists and community boards, and frequently blogs about Vectorworks.
As we did several years ago with Jonathan Pickup's manual, "3D Modeling in Vectorworks," this work through will span many meetings. The group found the journey through Jonathan's manual helpful and everyone picked up new tools and knowledge.
Our meeting will begin with Michael Redman reviewing and demonstrating how to use image props in a drawing/rendering. It would be great if anyone else that attended the webinar with Ruby (Rubina Siddiqui) picked another detail covered and reviewed it for the group.
Q&A to follow meeting.
Additional Info: This meeting time is "after hours" for the facility and the meeting time is a little later than normal due to venue availability. It is best to come in through the back (stage) door and it is best to enter the parking lot from Middleton Street. However, if the gates are closed, you will need to use the gated entrance of Lindsley Ave. Pull up to the gate and use the call button on the console and tell the officer you are here for a meeting at NCT. Please feel free to call with any question: (615.500.6969).
