Join NYC Photo Safarisat the Metropolitan Museum of Art for a unique photo tour. Although there will be artwork to photograph, this safari is about the use of light. The amazing Metropolitan Museum of Art features many would-be outdoor spaces that are now encapsulated inside the building (the American Courtyard, the European Sculpture Court, etc.). These spaces are beautifully lit by huge skylights, offering a unique opportunity to photograph several diverse architectural elements all in one setting. These conditions also offer some photographic challenges such as shooting in mixed lighting conditions and so we will also address "white balance". Join us for this safari and learn about light.
New York City Photo Safarisis not your regular walking tour of New York sites and landmarks. Central Park, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Brooklyn Bridge, and Times Square are the staples of a New York visit, but will your photographs do them justice? Your photographer guide will not only show you these sights, but will teach you the skills to capture them in your photographs. You can learn skills such as night photography, macro, composition, and lighting while exploring the Metropolitan Museum, Madison Square Park, the Highline, Grand Central, or Wall Street. We take small groups out with professional photographer guides. See New York through our lens and take better photos home.
