Multnomah Village Vine & Dine
Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM (PDT)
Join us for Multnomah Village's first Northwest Wine and Food Festival!
Local wine and food stars will provide an afternoon of wine tastings paired with sweet & savory bites. Enhance your wine tasting skills with the unique interactive aroma sampling exhibit. Practice finding the aromatic elements in your glass.
Guests will taste wines and chat with our local winemakers and chefs. Purchase bottles of the wines you love to go!
VIP Tickets are available, providing early entry, including a presentation by geologist Alan Busacca, Exploring Washington's Ice Age Terroir. Alan's talk will lend insight on the geological reasons why the Northwest is such a phenominal wine growing region.
100% of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Multnomah Village Bloc's Initiative to install vintage street lights in the Village.
This is a "no scent" event - no cologne or perfume, please.
Alan Busacca, PhD has more than 30 years of professional expertise and consulting in soils, geology and climate. He specializes in the Pacific Northwest but also consults around the world. He is a Professional Soil Scientist and Registered Geologist. WINO Magazine Online described him as “A superhero for vintners, he saves the day by traveling the globe to help wine growers produce the best grapes possible.” Named “The Doctor of Dirt” by Northwest Wine Anthem, this guy makes dirt interesting!
