Dark, Sexy, Dangerous
Can a man who sold his soul ever win it back??
It’s been said, “a good story cannot be devised, it must be distilled.” Join us on July 26th, for a tale of the rarest vintage. One of lost love and tragedy, of unbreakable promises and unthinkable acts. Mud & Blood: A Swamp Noir Fairy Tale is Wesley Morgan's unique blend of dark, sexy storytelling and music performance that hints of Tom Waits and the Brothers Grimm.
After the show, the seats come off the dance floor and the fun continues into the night with Morgan and The Roadhouse Cabaret House Band, stirring up dirty grooves guaranteed to inspire your inner devil. And if that’s not enough, our bewitching cabaret performers will tease, taunt, and titillate your senses with artful and sexy burlesque performances. You'll surely have a few stories of your own to tell the next day, and a smile you'll feel in your hip pocket.
Mud & Blood: A Swamp Noir Fairy Tale (7:30pm - 10pm)
Mud & Blood is a song and story cycle consisting of thirteen songs woven into a captivating narrative full of blood, mud, and magic. Mixing fact, fiction, and fantasy, this is unlike any other music show you've ever seen. It's cinematic southern gothic at its finest.
In the aftermath of a tragic flood, a newborn baby boy is found in the mud, wrapped in the arms of his recently drowned mother. Mud & Blood follows his life growing up in the back rooms of bars, brothels, and poker rooms. Bored of his life with the denizens of the criminal underworld, Our Man sets out on an adventure that brings him in touch with intoxicating temptresses and precious songbirds. Will Our Man find redemption, or will his past be impossible to escape?
