Universal Performers hooded, dark green sweatshirt, with the UP logo on the back in white and gold. *Note - All students must wear either the UP Sweatshirt or the MSJ Band Windbreaker for MSJ Football games.

MSJ Band Pants
White MSJ Marching Band pants worn with the Marching Band uniform. Purchase is optional, but highly recommended, since mose existing pants are stained and worn from many years of use, but are available to students free of charge. If you purchase pants now, these will be yours to use as long as your student remains with the MSJ Marching Band. *Note - These Pants are not used by Colorguard members.

MSJ Band Shoes
White, leather marching band shoes, worn with the Marching Band Uniform. Like the band pants, free old used shoes are available, however for sanitary reasons and to get a size match, we highly recommend that all students buy their own pair of band shoes. Returning students who have damaged or dirtied their shoes should replace them as well. *Note - MSJ Colorguard members should not purchase these shoes (They will have a separate order form later)

MSJ Performing Arts Backpack & Water bottle (Opt.)
Dark green 600D Polyester Backpack with UP logo, also includes hard dark green water bottle. A great way to keep your street clothes organized on Band outings. UP Membership (For Students)
Universal Performers is the student led Performing Arts Club for Mission San Jose High School community open to everyone in instrumental music, vocal music, or theatre arts. All members receive: -Discounts at concerts and performances -Savings on your ticket to Gala -Free food during Rush Week! -Access to invitation only events including Winter Bash, Multicultural Thanksgiving, and Masquerade Ball!

Event Details

Welcome to the MSJ Band Registration page for the 2013-2014 school year. Please read the following critical instructions before registering:

  • All students must be registered, including returning students. Siblings must be registered separately. 
    THIS REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS TO BE ABLE TO PERFORM
  • In addition to completing this registrtion, all students and at least 1 parent are required to attend the Family Potluck on Thursday 8/22/2013 @ 6PM @ Mission San Jose High School's Little Theater (behind Band room). At this meeting, parents will need to turn in the following documents:
  1. Field Trip Form
  2. Student & Parent Code of Conduct Agreement
  • All parents who attend the mandatory meeting on Thursday 8/22/2013 and turn in all of their completed paperwork will be given a ticket to attend a College Admissions Workshop on Friday 9/13/2013 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM held at MSJ in room C-120. This workshop will be lead by Harrison Cheng, one of the MSJ marching band coaches, as well as a current Admissions Officer at UC Berkeley.  Harrison has a certificate in College Admissions Counseling from UCLA, and 9 years of experience in college admissions.
  • This website is set up to accept credit card payments. If you prefer to pay by check, please use the coupon code "check" when checking out, this will reduce the price to $0. Please make checks payable to "MSJHS".

Parents of Universal Performers

PUPs is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, ID number 20-3347053. Your donations are tax-deductible.

Our students are very lucky to have the support of PUPs so they can participate in a number of projects that are not funded by the school district.  In addition to helping fund events, PUPs also funds items such as:

  • Royalties on music
  • Costumes & Uniforms
  • Royalties on plays
  • Coaching
  • Instruments and Equipment
  • Transportation to events
  • Instrument Repairs
  • Custodial Fees for after hour programs

The success of our fundraising program is more critical than ever. We need ALL PUPs members (if you have a performing arts student, this means you!), to participate in fundraising. We have a wide variety of opportunities for fundraising, some of which are:

  • Specialty Chocolate (Christmas & Valentine)
  • Annual Performing Arts Gala (Jazz Dance)
  • Pancake Breakfast
  • BBQ Dinners (Band Camp & other functions)

In addition, we also participate, in conjunction with Boosters & Mission Possible, in the following:

  • SCRIP
  • Homecoming Game BBQ and Bake Sale
  • Crab Feed

PLEASE NOTE: Your generous donations to PUPS is NOT in lieu of your requested CLASSROOM Donation Fees. Classroom donations are made directly to Mission San Jose High School.
