Workshop II: Build Your Personal Brand: Blogs & Social Media
with Matthew Capala, Head of Search & Inbound Marketing at Lowe Profero, Instructor at Baruch College of Continuing and Professional Studies
How do you draw a line between your small business name and your personal brand? You don't. It is one and the same. Steve Jobs built Apple, not the other way around. There is no hiding anymore in the digital age and transparency and authenticity are the only means to survive and thrive for small business owners – especially online. The secret is in storytelling and building relationships with others.
Workshop III: Online Documents: Productivity in the Cloud
with Michael Truskowski, Tekserve Training Manager
You have probably heard about “the cloud” by now. There are hundreds, if not thousands of online services all trying to make it easier to manage your data. At the same time document management has become the bane of many a worker’s existence. Endless emails with revision after revision can slow nearly any project to a halt. Not to mention most of us now juggle a phone, a tablet, and probably a computer or two. Where does this information live? In this session we will discuss some of the best options for storing, accessing, and editing your documents in the cloud, as well as some tips on keeping your data secure.
Workshop IV: Business Growth Management: Multiply, Magnify or Intensify!
with Larry Sharpe, the Managing Director of Neo-Sage Group, Inc., Instructor at Baruch's College of Continuing and Professional Studies department; and a guest instructor at Columbia's Graduate School of Business and Yale University School of Management.
The basis to grow your business successfully is to review how best to Multiply, Magnify or Intensify. These are mindset changes that affect you and your business and ones that can be adopted as a start-up, or once your business is up-and-running. If you’ve asked yourself: “Should I hire, add products, add services, change markets,” then this is your next step! This workshop will help you choose which of these will work for you and will help you identify ways to implement them into your business right away.
