The Civic League for Regional Atlanta
The Civic League for Regional Atlanta is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that is educating, engaging and empowering the people of metropolitan Atlanta to address shared issues and achieve common goals.
Movers, Shakers & Policymakers briefings feature local and nationally-recognized speakers and/or panel discussions pertaining to the Civic League’s current focus areas.* Past topics have included the tri-state water wars, the economic impact of transit investment and creating more vibrant communities through creative placemaking. Future topics under consideration include poverty and education in the Atlanta region, building public trust and advances in clean energy.
Audiences consist of metro Atlanta’s established and emerging business, civic and nonprofit leaders and elected officials from communities around the region. Movers, Shakers & Policymakers sponsors have included the Atlanta Regional Commission, Georgia Tech, IBM, Jacobs, Metro Atlanta Chamber, Turner Broadcasting and Wells Fargo.
