Mount Thompson-Seton is the second highest peak in the Whitefish Range south of the Canadian border. The trail climbs steadily up through Inuya Pass before making the final ascent. From the top, there are spectacular views of both Glacier and Waterton National Parks and the other peaks in the Whitefish Range on both sides of the border. The Whitefish Range Partnership reached consensus in October 2013 on a recommendation to the Flathead National Forest for an 80,000-acre proposed wilderness area that includes Thompson-Seton and surrounding peaks. This is a strenuous hike covering 11 miles roundtrip and climbing 3,360 feet from the vehicle to the summit at 7,790 feet.
