The festival takes place outside in Eastern Market and will feature more than 200 different beers from more than 50 different Michigan breweries. A variety of tasty food items are available for purchase from independent food vendors inside the festival and there will be a diverse selection live music from a variety of local bands. Sat Admission: $35 in advance, $40 at the door (includes 15 drink tokens - each good for a 3-ounce sample). Additional tokens are available for purchase inside the Festival for 50 cents each.
Beer Festival Bus - Frequently Asked Questions
What if I only want the Festival Ticket and not the seat on the bus? We sell either Bus/Festival Ticket Packages or Bus Only options. We DO NOT SELL just Festival tickets. If you buy the Bus/Festival Ticket Package and do not want the seat, you will need to pickup the festival ticket on the day of the festival at the pickup location that you selected at purchase. We do not mail tickets or leave them at Will Call.
What is the timing for the Beer Festival? The Festival general admission is from 1pm - 6pm. Enthusiast members can get in at 12 noon. We plan to have ALL buses there between 11:30am - 12 noon. The buses will depart the festival by 6:30pm. Don't be late - we will not call you or look for you!
What if I am late for a Bus Tour or Beer Festival Bus? We operate on a specific timeline. Please be at the designated departure location at least 20 minutes prior to the tour's start time. Tour start times are firm; however ending times may vary slightly due to weather and traffic. Call the number listed on your ticket with any issues.
What kind of bus will we be traveling on? Motor City Brew Tours works with multiple fully licensed and insured transportation partners. For the majority of our Local Bus Tours, we will be on a 25 passenger shuttle style bus. For Day Trips and Beer Festivals, we typically use a 47 passenger motor coach with a bathroom, cushy seats and TV monitors onboard. Both offer you a safe and reliable way to enjoy the day!
Where do the bus tours begin and where should I park?
-Rochester Hills: Please park in the rear parking lot of Clubhouse BFD
-Royal Oak: The parking garage at 6th & Lafayette offers the first 2 hours free.
-S. Lyon: Parking lot in front of Witch's Hat.
-Plymouth: Park on Mill St and Starkweather St on either side of the Brewery. Please Note: DO NOT Park on Liberty Street for this event.
What happens if I need to cancel? Reservation Fees received by Motor City Brew Tours for Bus Tours & Walking Tours are non-refundable and not transferable to other events. If you are unable to attend an event, tour tickets can be transferred to another guest. Motor City Brew Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour. Should this occur, your reservation fee will be transferable toward another event or fully refunded.
How old do I have to be to attend an event? Since our tours will involve alcohol, we only offer our tours to adults aged 21 and over. Please bring your State Identification or driver's license to present to your tour guide upon arrival. Motor City Brew Tours follows all state of Michigan liquor/consumption laws.
Can I bring food or beer on the bus tour? Yes, beer and food is allowed on the bus. Remember, you are going to a beer festival to drink all day. Please pace yourself! For the Michigan brewers guild festivals, you can bring in a small cooler with food and water (no alcohol or bottles). You can also bring in bag chairs and even tents.
What if I need a ride home after a tour? We want to offer you a safe environment to tour and sample beer with us. Our commitment to your safety extends after the tour as well. Call 1-800-TaxiCab or Green Taxi - 877-476-8294, Metro Cars - 800-546-1701.
