Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM (CDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Did you know that Mother’s Day originated in the U.S. to promote peace by honoring mothers who lost or were at risk of losing their sons to war? For grieving mothers, this holiday can evoke the intense pain of grief even many years after a child’s death. Please join us for this workshop as we honor you and your child. Participants will:
♥ Hear from Laura Gonsalves, co-founder of The Tristesse Grief Center, share her experience with life after the death of a child.
♥ Discuss the difficult questions mothers often receive after a child’s death.
♥ Create a memory bracelet in honor of your child.
♥ Enjoy refreshments and informal discussion.
♥ Share in a remembrance ceremony.
Fee: $10 materials fee per person. Adults only.
