DIY Girls presents a special workshop in celebration of Mother's Day!
Introduce a girl in your life to creative engineering! Our hands-on e-textiles workshop is an introduction to wearable electronics and sewing circuits. Each adult/child pair will learn to create basic electrical circuits using conductive thread and LEDs and make their own creation using available fabric and other materials. This is an opportunity for girls to be creative while learning technical skills.
- All project materials will be provided - includes LEDs, batteries and conductive thread
- Workshop designed for girls ages 6-12 but all are welcome
- Mothers, guardians, grandmothers, aunts or any other caregivers are welcomed to bring a special girl in their lives.
- Light snacks and refreshments will be provided
All fees collected will go directly to fund free programs for underserved girls offered by DIY Girls.
