There is no hiding it, the Mother Road Marathon is a challenging run. At mile marker 16 of the Marathon and mile 3 of the Half Marathon event the two courses merge and begin following the same route on to the finish. From here on both events share the same runner support stations. The starting lines for both events are roughly 815 feet above sea level, but at the point where both courses merge, runners will be at 860 feet of elevation. By mile 19 of the Martahon and mile 6 of the Half Marathon runners will be at 886 feet and at miles 26 and 13 respectively, the elevation reaches 1033 feet above sea level. The Finish Line is at 1031. From start to finish the Mother Road Marathon has a 219 feet increase in elevation. Please use the accompanying "MRM Elevation Chart" in your training program.
