Young Women Philanthropists, an auxiliary of the Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis, is hosting The Modern Day Woman’s Conference in Memphis, TN. This event is designed to empower, engage and educate women age 25-45 by assisting them in their civic, community, business, and personal journeys.

The event, scheduled for March 7-8, will consist of a Mixer from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 7th and a day-long conference from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the following Saturday, March 8th at Garrett Auditorium (adjacent to the main Baptist Hospital) at 6027 Walnut Grove Road.

 Purpose
The Modern Day Woman’s Conference, in its second year, celebrates the advancement and selfempowerment of young women, and seeks to enlighten them to utilize their incredible education, resources and strengths to have an even greater effect on the world. The conference will gather women from various professional sectors to hear presentations and panels on topics ranging from women’s health and wellness, to career development and leadership. This conference will encourage young adult women to take a moment to connect with other women and build on these new found relationships. Women can accomplish so much when they put aside their fastpaced roles in business or motherhood (or both) and make a decision to share, to listen, to learn and to celebrate what they all have to offer each other and the world.

Conference Day One – Friday, March 7, 2014
The kick-off event will be an interactive Networking Mixer at United Capital Wealth Advisors (999 S. Shady Grove Rd, Memphis, TN 38120). Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while you mix and mingle with our dynamic speakers and moderators.

Conference Day Two – Saturday, March 8, 2014
The Modern Day Woman’s Conference has the Who’s Who of Memphis’ Leading Women Professionals presenting workshops on Entrepreneurship, Networking, Personal Branding, Living Healthy and more! It’s a day of high energy and investing in yourself. The finale closes with a runway fashion show designed with the Image to impress and inspire the best of herself presented by Ann Taylor LOFT and K’Presha Boutique.   The conference offers the opportunity to take a bold step on and join a marathon of mixing and mingling, capturing sticky words of wisdom, the tingle of motivation and brush of boldness that will open new to extraordinary opportunities. All just for you! Why? Because it’s for women like you, Smart, Strong and Strategically creating your pathway to greatness.
