MOCA Shakers will receive a tour of the Rubell Family Collection, which will highlight its most renown Chinese Contemporary Art acquisitions. This tour will timely align itself with the recent focus on Chinese artists, as seen in the Armory Show 2014. The Armory will be exhibiting many of the same artists that are on display at the Rubell and will therefore give MOCA Shakers the chance to stay current with contemporary art.
After the tour, MOCA Shakers will meet at Wynwood Brewing Company where the Brewmaster will guide MOCA guests through the Brewery discussing how Wynwood Brewing Company came to be in the Wynwood Arts District and how the beers are each individually crafted. With its recent opening, this will give Shakers the chance to visit Wynwood’s first brewery and sample signature brews such as La Rubia, Pop’s Porter, and Wynwood IPA.
