Mobile Payments Roundtable
Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM (EST)
New York, NY
PluggedIn's first roundtable of 2013 will be focusing on Mobile Payments.
Technology enabling mobile payments has become increasingly common, and analysts project consumers and businesses worldwide will make more than $1 trillion in purchases from mobile devices by 2017. But that’s just a small drop in the bucket of potential mobile payments, and it hinges on the prevalence of smart phones, a variety of mobile payment methods, and some level of agreement between financial institutions, mobile operators, and retailers on some common standards.
This month’s round table will bring together founders and senior executives at the crux of mobile payments to discuss how this new world of transactions could truly signal the end to cash as we've known it.
Current participants include:
Bytemark: Micah Bergdale, Co-founder & CEO
