About This Workshop
Who's it for?
Mobile First is perfect for designers, developers, or anyone interested in how the web makes it possible to build products for every platform and device. You should attend if want to learn more about HTML and CSS best practices, techniques for building mobile and high-resolution sites, and strategies for designing modern web projects. No programming knowledge is necessary.
The class runs from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes morning refreshments and lunch. This class features several hands-on challenges throughout the day in addition to lots of examples and resources. We'll cover:

- Progressive Enhancement
- Responsive Design
- Mobile First Strategies
- High Resolution Displays
- Stylesheet Languages and Less
- CSS Frameworks and Bootstrap
- UX Strategy
Attendees should bring a laptop with WiFi and a power cord, ready with a code editor and and browser. We strongly recommend the Google Chrome browser.
We also recommend one of the following text editors for Mac: Sublime Text 2, TextMate, MacVim, Coda or Windows: E TextEditor, Notepad++, UltraEdit, but the most important thing is that attendees use a text editor they're comfortable with.
About the Instructor
Greg Smith is a senior web developer at Bocoup with a knack for making and porting HTML5 games. Greg has contributed several tools for web game development including boxbox, an intuitive framework for the box2d physics engine, and LetterBrush, a text editor for drawing.
Refunds and Cancellation Policy
Need to cancel your ticket? Notify us in writing at email@example.com no less than 30 days before the training for a refund less a $100 processing fee. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the training are non-refundable.
You may transfer your ticket to another person by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org and providing authorization.
Confirmed and paid attendees who do not attend or cancel after the deadline are liable for the entire fee. In the event the training is cancelled, the liability of Bocoup, LLC is limited to the return of paid registration fees.
