When & Where
Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center is a non-profit social service agency that provides a variety of social and educational programs primarily to low income children, youth, and families within the framework of Dr. King's vision of equal respect, treatment, and accessibility for all people. We have been doing this work in Spokane County since 1970.
In 2012 the Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center served over 2,000 children, youth, and families through our child and youth programs, information and referral services, parenting education groups, emergency assistance, school supply drive, holiday assistance program, counseling services, life skills, and ongoing support services. 98% of families served by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center annual income are at or below 110% of the federal poverty guidelines. The Center’s emphasis is not just on social services, education and recreation, but on rebuilding the very fabric of community life.
